Philhealth New Scheme & Andy

September 30th, 2011 No comments

About three weeks ago Andy got confined in the hospital due to pneumonia.  She must have caught it in school, from a classmate ora friend. I don’t know. But one thing is for sure, once she gets that sick, I die a thousand deaths as well.

We paid quite an amount after about two days of confinement alone. But you know what, PhilHealth or the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation actually implemented a new scheme. I already got about 50% off the bill but what we found out was that since there is a new policy being implemented, almost the whole bill is actually covered.

Wow! This is new. I know this is helpful, but I still pray that Andy doesn;t get sick anymore. That’s wishful thinking, but I am praying.

Sick or Tired?

April 4th, 2011 6 comments

I have been feeling down lately. The moment I came back from my vacation about a month ago I have never really gotten over my colds, body aches from carrying Andy.  Well, I am not really complaining about the carrying part.  But I am really feeling down and low.

For the past 2 and 1/2 year I have been trying to fit in Dubai. I was actually hoping to get into the rhythm of being an OFW. I have nothing against it. I have all respect for each one.

But I am tired. I would like to go back home. To start my life anew. I am sick, I am tired. I would like to get well. I want to get well soon.

Running W1R1

October 9th, 2010 5 comments

I ran today. Yesterday I went swimming and I thought that it would be nice to run.  I wasn’t let down.  I had a blast running. I worked up a good sweat, thanks to not opening the Air Conditioning machine at the gym. Yep, the gym has an AC.  When it’s mid summer, you really have to open the AC. You can’t survive the running in the middle east heat.

Anyway, as I said to myself during the run, I will try to do it at least 3 times a week. I run 8 laps. 3.2 km. 35 minutes on the machine. About 140 calories burned. Or so it says. I hope the heat and all the sweat I let out meant I burned more than that.

I will post a running series from now. I will try to reflect on the runs that I have.  Pretty challenging.  For tonight, I’ll rest my tired feet and legs and sleep on a happy thought that I had picked myself up from the bed/ chair and out of the computer to make my body a bit fit.
